COMMON QUESTIONS ASKED WHEN HANDLING A
REPAIR THROUGH JOE STEWART BODY SHOP

Do I have a choice of where to get my car repaired?

You have the right to go to any auto body shop that you choose. By law your insurance company can’t require you to have your car repaired at a particular shop.

Do I have to get more than one estimate?

There is no law that requires you to get more than one estimate.

My insurance company wants me to bring my car to their claims center for an appraisal. Do I have to do this?

You may want to do them that favor, or you may leave your car at our shop and request that they inspect it here.

Can you help me negotiate with my insurance company?

We are happy to assist our customers by working directly with the insurance company to process their claims.

Why is the insurance estimate lower than the body shop estimate?

Lower estimates may not include all necessary work or genuine replacement parts. If you’re uncertain why your estimates differ please ask us.

Do you offer a repair warranty?

ABSOLUTELY!!! All paint and body repairs are covered by our Limited Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty. Don’t hesitate to ask us to give you a copy.

In Case Of An Accident

1. STAY CALM:
   You will need to remain calm in order to handle the situation and gather all information needed. If at all possible, move vehicle out of the way of traffic and turn car off immediately. If you are unable to move your vehicle, BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU EXIT YOUR CAR.
2. FIRST AID CHECK AND CALL THE POLICE:
   Assist the injured and have someone call the police and, if necessary, emergency medical services.
3. MAKE AN ACCIDENT CHECKLIST:
   • Names, addresses, and driver’s license numbers of involved parties
   • Insurance Company & Policy Numbers of all vehicles involved.
   • Year, Make, Model, Color and Tag # of all vehicles involved
   • Names and contact info for witnesses.
4. REPORT YOUR ACCIDENT IMMEDIATELY:
   • Call your insurance agent or company ,and they will advise you on what to do next.
   • REMEMBER!!! IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THE SHOP OF YOUR CHOICE!! IT’S THE LAW!!
5. TOWING THE VEHICLE:
   • If your vehicle will need to be towed from the scene. The police department will call for a wrecker to be dispatched to come and tow your vehicle.
   • You can request that your vehicle be towed to:

   • We will pay the Tow Bill upon arrival of your vehicle and will be applied to the insurance claim/ repair bill.
   • We will be more than happy to assist you in any way possible in order to keep this inconvienence to a minimum.
